Dianne Michels founded SerendipityHR in 2001 with a mission to foster work environments where people are fully engaged... in meaningful work, producing exceptional results. The answer is quite straightforward. SerendipityHR is unique because it offers clients a broad-based and effective resource to respond to their needs that is driven not just by “best practices” Human Resources principles, but also by experience that only years “inside” the corporate world can provide.

A distinction that sets SerendipityHR apart from many HR consultants is that I was a customer of HR before becoming an HR provider. My first 20 years in the corporate world were spent in key P&L functions such as operations management, CRM, marketing, and sales. It’s the last 10+ years that have been spent in Human Resources. Such a diverse background has resulted in unique insights and experiences that heighten not only SerendipityHR’s commitment to provide customer-responsive, strategic HR services, but also our ability to do so.

This broad range of practical experience is augmented with completion of academic studies at DePaul University in organizational communications and mediation. In addition, I have created and presented numerous workshops and seminars on topics related to leadership, management, human relations, time management, career planning, conflict resolution, and interviewing. These training sessions were presented in a diverse spectrum of venues ranging from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups to community colleges.

Participation in the organizations listed below supports the promise to clients to stay abreast of the constant challenges they face in today’s highly competitive global economy. And volunteering my services to the Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Women empowers me to “walk the talk” regarding the importance of giving back to our communities.
